ALGIERS – The Algerian Minister of Knowledge Economy, Start-ups and Micro-enterprises, Noureddine Ouadah, participated in the Ministerial Conference of the Global Entrepreneurship Congress (GEC 2025), which is being held in the State of Indiana (United States of America), during which he emphasized Algeria’s pioneering role in promoting the climate of innovation in Africa, the ministry said Tuesday in a press release.

During his speech at this Conference as Algeria’s representative at this major international event, which brings together decision-makers, entrepreneurs and innovators from around the world, Ouadah presented a comprehensive presentation on the progress achieved in the national start-up ecosystem, specifying that the construction and development of this ecosystem is done in accordance with the vision of the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, who places innovation and entrepreneurship at the heart of sustainable economic development.

The minister highlighted the accelerated dynamic of the African start-up ecosystem, as well as Algeria’s leading role as a catalyst of this growth, notably through the launch of the African Start-up Conference since 2022, which is now a strategic platform capable of strengthening the synergy of African policies in matters of promoting technological and economic development.

In this respect, Ouadah insisted on the importance of the contribution of African entrepreneurs, including members of its diaspora across the world, in promoting innovation and technological development, underlining the necessity of facilitating the integration of these skills in the dynamic of African economic transformation, added the press release.
