Algeria, Serbia Discuss Fostering Industry Partnership

The Algerian Minister of Industry, Yahia Bachir, met Tuesday in Algiers with the Serbian Minister for International Economic Cooperation and Vice-Chair of the Algeria-Serbian Joint Commission, Nenad Popovic. The two officials discussed prospects for fostering industrial partnerships across several priority sectors, according to a statement from the ministry.

The meeting, which included senior officials from both sides, is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen economic and industrial relations. It coincides with the official visit to Algeria by a high-level Serbian delegation led by Prime Minister Djuro Macut.

During the talks, both parties praised the “strength of the historical ties of friendship” between the countries.

They reaffirmed a “shared commitment to establishing a renewed economic partnership based on industrial complementarity and mutual benefit,” reflecting the exceptional level of bilateral relations.
