
On behalf of the Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, Secretary of State to the Algerian Minister of Foreign Affairs, in charge of African Affairs, Selma Bakhta Mansouri, took part in the official celebrations marking the 50th anniversary of Mozambique’s independence.
During her visit, Mrs. Mansouri was received by the President of Mozambique, Daniel Francisco Chapo, at the Presidential Palace. She conveyed President Tebboune’s warm greetings and sincere wishes for continued progress and prosperity to the friendly people of Mozambique. Both sides highlighted the deep-rooted historical ties between the two nations and discussed ways to further enhance cooperation in various fields of mutual interest.
Mansouri also held talks with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Verónica Macamo, at the ministry’s headquarters. The discussions focused on prospects for strengthening the partnership between Algeria and Mozambique and expanding bilateral cooperation to new strategic sectors.
