Algeria President Sends Wishes to Tunisian Counterpart on Independence Day

ALGIERS, March 20, 2025 – On Thursday, Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune spoke by phone with President Kaïs Saïed of Tunisia, to convey his best wishes in celebration of the significant milestone of independence, as stated in a release from the Presidency.

“The President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, extended his best wishes via telephone on Thursday to his brother, Mr. Kaïs Saïed, the President of the Tunisian Republic, during the festivities commemorating the 69th anniversary of independence celebrated by the friendly Tunisian people,” the statement indicates.

Both presidents expressed satisfaction with “the excellent level of relations achieved between the two countries in recent years” and exchanged greetings for the holy month, wishing continued prosperity and well-being for both the Algerian and Tunisian peoples.

Additionally, the Algerian President conveyed his heartfelt condolences to his Tunisian counterpart following the loss of one of his close associates, the source concluded.
