
ALGIERS, March 18, 2026 – The Algerian President, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, carried out on Wednesday a partial reshuffle in the diplomatic and consular corps, involving the appointment of 19 ambassadors, 5 consuls general, and 2 consuls, according to a statement from the Presidency.
“The President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, has today carried out a partial reshuffle in the diplomatic and consular corps, involving the appointment of nineteen (19) ambassadors, five (5) consuls general, and two (2) consuls,” the statement said.
This move is part of “ongoing efforts to inject renewed momentum into diplomatic and consular action, in order to ensure the defense of Algeria’s interests on the international stage and to provide optimal support to the concerns of the national community abroad,” the statement concluded.
