Algeria Poised to Share Energy Expertise with Chad

Algerian Minister of Energy and Renewable Energy Mourad Adjal affirmed on Wednesday, in N’Djamena, Algeria’s readiness to share its technical expertise and know-how with Chad, as part of mutually beneficial partnerships between the two countries’ stakeholders, the ministry said in a statement.

The statement was delivered during a meeting between Adjal and Chad’s Minister of Water and Energy, Passalé Kanabé Marcelin, on the sidelines of his working visit to Chad, accompanying the Minister of State, Minister of Hydrocarbons and Mines, Mohamed Arkab, to participate in the International Mining, Quarries and Hydrocarbons Conference and Exhibition “SEMICA Chad 2026.” According to the statement, the Minister of Energy and Renewable Energy presented during the meeting a brief overview of the energy sector in Algeria, particularly in the fields of electricity and gas.

He highlighted the industrial capabilities along the value chain, from turbines to low-voltage switchgear, as well as the sector’s expertise in human resource training and the execution of various energy facilities, whether in production, transmission, or distribution.

For his part, the Chadian minister expressed his country’s interest in collaborating with Algeria in this field, the ministry’s statement added.
