Algeria Participates in London International Food, Drink Event

LONDON-Algeria is participating in the 2025 International Food and Drinks Event (IFE), which is being held from March 17 to 19 in London, with a variety of high-quality products, which illustrates the spectacular leap achieved in this sector, as part of the policy of diversification of the national economy.

The Algerian pavilion brings together nearly a dozen exhibitors representing national companies, both public and private, whose products are beginning to make their way into international markets.

The company Tasdir, a subsidiary of the Safex group, the Strategic Agricultural Crops Development Enterprise (DCAS), SARL CATM, CEBON, Houkoul Al Janoub, Tahraoui and Saramel Ltd, a London-based company that exclusively markets Algerian products, essentially dates, offer visitors samples of what is produced in the country and which mirrors the development of the national food industry.

In addition to already renowned local products such as dates, olive oil, honey, mineral and sparkling waters, there is a variety of fresh agricultural products that are equally renowned and appreciated on European markets, such as oranges, apples, tomatoes and peppers.

Algeria’s Ambassador to London, Nourredine Yazid, paid a visit to the Algerian stand and was thrilled to see Algeria taking part in this major event. He also noted the strong turnout of visitors and agri-food industry professionals, who were clearly impressed by the quality of the products on display.

The Ambassador met with exhibitors and officials from the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Export Promotion, highlighting the importance of these events in boosting the Algerian brand and building new partnerships to break into European markets.
