Algeria Participates in 7th AU–EU Summit Focused on Peace, Security, and Cooperation

Representing the Algerian President, Algerian State Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Affairs, and the National Community Abroad, Ahmed Attaf, took part in the opening session of the 7th African Union–European Union Cooperation and Partnership Summit, held in Luanda, Angola, on November 24–25, 2025, the Algerian Foreign Ministry reported.

The summit brings together leaders from African and European countries under the theme “Promoting Peace and Prosperity through Effective Multilateralism”. The opening session focused on discussing peace, security, and governance issues in Africa, as well as exchanging views on the best approaches and mechanisms to strengthen cooperation and partnership between the two sides to address current challenges in these areas.
