
The International Conference on Digital Payments in Algeria, organized by the Ministry of Finance and the Bank of Algeria in collaboration with the Arab Monetary Fund (AMF), officially opened on Tuesday in Algiers.
The opening session of this two-day event was led by Algerian Finance Minister Laaziz Faid, alongside the Governor of the Bank of Algeria, Salah Eddine Taleb, and the Director General and Chairman of the Board of the AMF, Fahd Bin Mohamed Al-Turki.
Under the theme “Digital Payments in Algeria: Advancing Towards a Cashless Future,” the conference will explore various topics during its discussion panels, including innovations in finance and financial services, open banking, payment service providers, and instant payment systems.
The event features participation from both Algerian and international experts in digital financial services, information technology, and economics, along with representatives from various government departments, banks, insurance companies, and financial institutions.
