ALGIERS — The Algerian Minister of Foreign Trade and Export Promotion, Kamel Rezig, participated Tuesday in the opening of the International Healthy Food Show (Free From Specialty Food Expo 2025), organized in Vienna, Austria, during which Algeria was chosen as guest of honor of this edition, a ministry statement said.
On this occasion, Rezig, accompanied by Algerian Economic Renewal Council (CREA) President Kamel Moula, Algeria’s Ambassador to Austria Larbi Latroch, and Safex Group Director General Karim Boukadoum, visited the Algerian pavilion. There, he met with several Algerian business operators participating in the show and examined the quality and variety of products on display.
The minister commended the competitive level achieved by Algerian food companies, emphasizing the importance of leveraging such international events to promote Algerian products and gain access to new markets, the statement added.
Algeria’s participation in this show, which runs through Thursday, is part of efforts to strengthen the country’s presence at international trade events, which serve as effective tools for entering foreign markets and diversifying trade partnerships, in line with directives from the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, the source said.
