Algeria, Moldova Foster Relations Based on Mutual Respect

ALGIERS- Moldova’s new Ambassador, Eugeniu Revenco, said on Monday that his country had relations of friendship with Algeria, based on the principles of mutual respect and that both countries were committed to promoting values of peace, security, and sustainable development.

“The Republic of Moldova wishes to continue and expand its relations with Algeria in a spirit of partnership beneficial to both countries,” said Revenco at the end of the ceremony to present his credentials to President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune.

He said that he had a “warm” discussion with the President of the Republic.

He further mentioned both countries’ “commitment to promoting the values of peace, security, and sustainable development.”

The strengthening of Moldova’s bilateral relations with foreign partners, particularly with Algeria, was also another issue addressed with the President of the Republic.

“Although diplomatic relations between our two countries were established 30 years ago, bilateral cooperation still has great potential for development,” he stressed.

“We are committed to promoting political dialogue between our two countries and strengthening bilateral cooperation,” he said.
