Algeria : Lower House Unanimously Adopts General Mobilization Law

ALGIERS – The members of the Algerian People’s National Assembly (Lower House of Parliament) adopted on Monday, unanimously, the law relating to general mobilization. The vote took place during a plenary session chaired by the Speaker of the Lower House, Brahim Boughali, in the presence of the Minister of Justice, Keeper of the Seals, Lotfi Boudjemaa, and the Minister of Relations with Parliament, Kaouter Krikou.

This text, which defines the provisions relating to general mobilization provided for in Article 99 of the Constitution, will contribute to “enriching the national legislative system allowing for taking all necessary measures to properly prepare to face potential dangers, particularly in the current geostrategic context at global and regional levels, marked by unbridled changes to which we must adapt,” said the Minister of Justice.
