A framework agreement for strategic cooperation covering the period from 2025 to 2027 was signed on Tuesday in Algiers between Algeria and the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) group. This agreement aims to support sectors that enhance competitiveness, diversify the economy, develop infrastructure, and strengthen the private sector.
The accord also emphasizes the importance of building partnerships for human capital development and regional collaboration. It was signed by Finance Minister Abdelkrim Bouzred and ISDB Group President Muhammad Sulaiman Al-Jasser, under the supervision of Prime Minister Nadir Larbaoui.
The agreement encompasses four key areas of support: enhancing Islamic financing tools, mitigating the effects of climate change, empowering women and youth, and developing capacities and skills.
The signing ceremony occurred during the official opening of the ISDB Annual Meetings 2025, held at the “Abdelatif-Rahal” International Conference Center in Algiers, under the esteemed patronage of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune.
