Algeria Hosts 3rd ‘Green Impact Bootcamp’ for Promoting Startups

ALGIERS, Sept 16, 2025 – The third edition of the “Green Impact Bootcamp” opened Tuesday in Algiers under the theme “Building a green economy through collective intelligence”, bringing together startups and project leaders from Algeria and Africa.

The three-day event, organized by incubator DZ Hadina Tech with government backing, aims to foster green innovation and sustainable entrepreneurship. Participants will attend workshops led by experts and meet economic partners.

Abdelfetah Benamar, head of Hadina Tech, said the initiative seeks to connect young innovators with the market while creating synergies between major companies and emerging startups.

The Bootcamp will close with a competition where 15 finalists present projects to a jury. Winners will receive funding and partnership opportunities.

Among the contenders is Biofertech, which recycles mining waste into fertilizers, and Green ORC, an agritech startup using AI to optimize irrigation and reduce resource consumption.

Sustainable development expert Ali Harbi stressed the importance of corporate-startup cooperation, distinguishing between “responsible startups” that minimize their footprint and “green startups” that create eco-solutions.
