Algeria Held to Goalless Draw by Uruguay in World Cup Preparations

The Algerian national football team played to a 0-0 draw against Uruguay in a friendly match on Tuesday evening at the Allianz Stadium in Turin. The match is part of the team’s preparations for the 2026 World Cup, scheduled for June 11 to July 19.
This game was the second friendly of the Greens’ training camp in Italy, following Friday’s commanding 7-0 victory over Guatemala at the Luigi Ferraris Stadium in Genoa.
Ahead of the 2026 World Cup, held across the United States, Canada, and Mexico, Algeria will face the Netherlands, captained by Liverpool’s Virgil van Dijk, on June 3 at the Rotterdam Stadium.
In the upcoming World Cup, Algeria will compete in Group J alongside Argentina, Austria, and Jordan.
