Algeria : Gratitude to Supporters During Glorious Revolution Reiterated

ALGIERS – The Algerian Minister of Mujahideen and Rights-holders, Laïd Rebiga, reiterated on Monday, in Algiers, Algeria’s gratitude towards all those who supported it during its glorious Revolution against French colonialism.

In a speech delivered at the second Assembly of the Association of Algerian Revolution Friends, Rebiga emphasized that “Algeria, across all generations, will remain faithful to all those who helped and supported it during the Liberation Revolution and will transmit these values of loyalty to its children,” which are “the only guarantee of solidarity, progress and world peace,” he said.

In this respect, he said that the creation of the Association of Algerian Revolution Friends aimed to “preserve the historical legacy of these friends” and to “complete the noble path of loyalty towards those who stood by the Algerian people.”

This association is meant to be “a platform to express the values of peoples’ right to freedom and dignity,” he added.

He emphasized that Algeria, under the leadership of the Algerian President, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, and strong with its principles drawn from its glorious history, “actively participates in the international decision-making process in favour of strengthening international peace and security.”

It also works diplomatically to “enshrine the values and principles set forth in the United Nations Charter, particularly the right of peoples to self-determination, peaceful settlement of conflicts and the strengthening of  cooperation and friendship between nations,” he said.
