ALGIERS – Algerian Minister of Justice and Keeper of the Seals, Lotfi Boudjemaa, said on Monday in Algiers that the draft law on general mobilization will contribute to strengthening the legal framework related to “proactive readiness” to counter crises and threats and to defend the supreme interests of the country.
In his speech, delivered after the adoption of the draft law by the deputies of the People’s National Assembly (APN), the minister said that the approval of the legal text will help reinforce the legal arsenal related to “proactive readiness against all threats, crises, dangers, and disasters.”
The law also aligns with “the efforts aimed at defending of the supreme interests of the Nation” and “will consecrate the sacred army-nation bond, through which our country gains greater strength, invincibility, and strategic rigor.”
“Thanks to all the efforts of nationalists, the cohesion and solidarity of Algerian society, the Algeria of martyrs will be able to thwart all machinations and conspiracies,” he said.
He further welcomed the respect shown by the people’s representatives towards the efforts of the People’s National Army (ANP), “whose high command works to reach the highest levels of operational capability, so that it continues, with the same determination and awareness of national duty, to carry out its constitutional missions with professionalism and efficiency, following a rational, realistic, and enlightened strategic vision.”
According to Boudjemaa, these efforts “confirm the professionalism and vigilance of our Armed Forces, which remain always determined to resolutely work to thwart any attempt to threaten the country’s security and defend its supreme interests, through sacrifice for Algeria, dedication to its people, loyalty to the values of November, and to safeguard the Republic.”
