ALGIERS – The Algerian Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad, and African Affairs, Ahmed Attaf, received on Monday the President of the National Security and Foreign Policy Commission of the Iranian Islamic Shura Council, Ibrahim Azizi, the ministry said in a statement.
The meeting provided an opportunity to review the current and future prospects of the strong, cooperative ties between the two countries, and to explore ways to enhance the mechanisms offered by parliamentary diplomacy, with the goal of elevating these relations to the highest levels possible, the same source added.
The two sides discussed a number of international and regional issues of mutual intertest, with a particular focus on the developments in the Middle East, including the ongoing genocide against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip and the continued Zionist escalation across multiple fronts in the region, the statement concluded.
