Algeria: FM Ahmed Attaf took part in the opening session of the Summit for the Future

The Algerian Minister of Foreign Affairs Ahmed Attaf attended the opening session of the Summit for the Future in New York on Sunday as a representative of the Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, according to a statement from the ministry.

This summit, taking place on Sunday and Monday, focusses on “examining ways to strengthen the multilateral system and prospects for enhancing international cooperation in five key areas: sustainable development, international peace and security, scientific and technological cooperation, rights of future generations, and reforming the global governance system in its political and economic aspects,” added the same source.

According to the statement, Minister Ahmed Attaf will deliver a speech during the plenary session of the summit and participate in an interactive dialogue on “strengthening multilateralism for the sake of international peace and security.”
