Algeria has extended its heartfelt solidarity and compassion to the Republic of the Union of Myanmar in response to the devastating earthquake that occurred on Friday, resulting in numerous casualties and significant material damage, according to a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad, and African Affairs.
“In light of the violent earthquake that struck Myanmar today, causing many casualties and extensive property damage, Algeria expresses its full solidarity and sympathy with the Republic of the Union of Myanmar. We offer our sincere condolences to the families of the victims and wish a swift recovery for the injured,” the statement reads.
“This disaster serves as a poignant reminder of the importance of upholding values of solidarity and human cohesion, as well as the necessity of supporting the resilient people of Myanmar in overcoming this challenging ordeal. We are committed to providing all forms of humanitarian aid and participating in relief efforts to alleviate the suffering of those affected,” the statement concludes.
