Algeria Explores Renewable Energy Cooperation with Denmark

ALGIERS – Algeria is actively pursuing new avenues for collaboration in the field of renewable energy. On Wednesday, Secretary of State to the Minister of Energy, in charge of Renewable Energy, Noureddine Yassaâ, met with a delegation from the European Affairs Committee of the Danish Parliament. The delegation, led by its Chairperson, Brigitte Klintskov Jerkel, discussed opportunities for strengthening bilateral cooperation in the renewable energy sector.

The meeting underscored Algeria’s growing interest in expanding its renewable energy capacity, and both sides explored potential projects and partnerships. As Algeria continues to focus on sustainable energy solutions, discussions with Denmark, known for its leadership in renewable energy development, are expected to play a pivotal role in shaping the country’s energy future.

The Algerian government has placed significant emphasis on the transition to renewable energy sources, and this meeting marks an important step in fostering international cooperation to achieve those goals.
