Algeria Enhances Coordination with Consular Offices During Brussels Visit

ALGIERS – Secretary of State to the Algerian Foreign Affairs’ Minister, in charge of the National Community Abroad, Sofiane Chaib, held in Brussles a coordination and an orientation meeting with numerous CHeads of Consular Offices as part of his visit to the Kingdom of Belgium, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad and African Affairs said on Sunday in a Communiqué.

“As part of his visit to the Kingdom of Belgium, Secretary of State to the Foreign Affairs’ Minister, in charge of the National Community Abroad, Sofiane Chaib held a coordination and an orientation meeting with the Heads of Consular Offices in Brussels, Frankfurt, Geneva, London, Lille, Strasbourg, Paris, Bobigny, Bordeaux, Créteil, Moulins, Metz, Nanterre, Nantes, and Pontoise.”

The visit allowed, according to the Communiqué, “to acknowledge the efforts made by our consular network to implement the Ministry’s plan aimed at modernizing the consular system, in order to meet the needs of our community abroad.”

This meeting was also an opportunity to “discuss the positive impact of the recent measures taken in favor of our citizens living abroad, especially the procedures to enter the national territory.”

The Secretary of State further stressed the need to warmly welcome members of our community abroad at the consular offices.
