Algeria-Egypt Joint Commission to be held soon in Cairo

CAIRO – The Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sissi announced Sunday evening that the Algeria-Egypt Joint Commission would be held “shortly” in Cairo to “foster cooperation” between the two countries.

In a joint statement to the press with the President of Algeria, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, President al-Sissi said that his talks with the Algerian President focused on “ways to boost relations and cooperation between the two countries.

In the same vein, the Egyptian President highlighted “the great opportunities for cooperation between Egypt and Algeria” that were discussed during the meeting and which brought together delegations from both countries.

President al-Sissi extended his best wishes to the Algerian people and President Abdelmadjid Tebboune on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the glorious Liberation Revolution, underscoring that “the Algerian people and their liberation struggle have always aroused the admiration and profound respect of the Egyptian people.”
