Algeria, Côte d’Ivoire Agree to Launch Preparations for Upcoming Joint Committee Session

Algerian Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad, and African Affairs, Ahmed Attaf, held bilateral talks on Tuesday with his Ivorian counterpart, Kacou Houadja Léon Adom, as part of his participation in the 7th AU–EU Partnership Summit, held in Luanda.

In this regard, the two ministers reviewed the bilateral relations between the two countries and agreed to launch preparations for the upcoming session of the Algerian–Ivorian Joint Committee, the Algerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement.

They also exchanged views on developments in the Sahel-Saharan region and emphasized the importance of strengthening coordination between Algeria and Côte d’Ivoire, particularly in light of their membership in the African Union Peace and Security Council, the statement added.
