Algeria–Chad: Air Algérie Launches First Direct Flight Between Algiers and N’Djamena

Air Algérie’s inaugural flight linking Algiers and Chad’s capital N’Djamena departed on Tuesday evening from Houari Boumediene International Airport.

The ceremony was attended by the Chief of Cabinet of the Ministry of Interior, Local Authorities and Transport, Bouamama Belmakhfi, representing Minister Said Sayoud, Air Algérie CEO Hamza Benhammouda, and Chad’s Ambassador to Algeria, Mokhtar Wawa Dahab.

The new route follows President Abdelmadjid Tebboune’s directive during the opening of September’s African Intra-Trade Exhibition, when he ordered the establishment of a direct air service to N’Djamena as an Air Algérie priority with the aim of strengthening ties between the peoples of the two countries.
