Algeria: CACI Signs MoU with UK Counterpart to Strengthen Bilateral Cooperation

ALGIERS, April 1, 2026 – The Algerian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CACI) has signed a memorandum of understanding with its British counterpart aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation and promoting partnership and investment opportunities across various economic and commercial sectors between the two countries, according to a statement released Wednesday by the CACI.
The memorandum “aims to boost trade exchanges and promote joint exhibitions and trade fairs, drawing on each party’s experience in organizing and managing such events,” the statement said.
It also seeks to “encourage the exchange of commercial information to facilitate market access” and to “develop training programs and capacity-building initiatives,” the same source added.
The document was signed Tuesday at the headquarters of the Algerian Embassy in London by the Director General of the CACI, Kouidri Chakib Ismail, and the Executive Chairman of the West London Chambers of Commerce, Alan Rides.
The ceremony was attended by Algeria’s Ambassador to London, Noureddine Yazid, UK Member of Parliament and Trade Envoy to Algeria, Yasmin Qureshi, the CEO of SAFEX, Karim Boukadoum, the President of the National Association of Algerian Exporters (ANEXAL), Tarek Boulmerka, a representative of the Algerian Economic Renewal Council (CREA), Salim Haddoud, as well as several economic operators, the statement concluded.
