Algeria : Batna Pays Final Respects to Former President Mujahid Liamine Zeroual

The body of the former Algerian President, Mujahid Liamine Zeroual, was transferred this Monday morning from his family residence to the headquarters of Batna Province to allow for final respects.

The late President is scheduled to be interred on Monday afternoon at the Bouzourane Central Cemetery.

On Sunday, the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, paid his final respects at the Palace of the People in Algiers, where he viewed the body of the late Mujahid Liamine Zeroual and signed the book of condolences.

Senior government officials, prominent national figures, and Mujahideen also gathered on Sunday at the Palace of the People to bid a final farewell to the late statesman, who passed away on Saturday.
