Algerian Secretary of State to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, in charge of the National Community Abroad, Sofiane Chaib, met on Monday with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Migration and Egyptian Expatriates of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Nabil Habashi, on the occasion of his participation in the 11th United Nations Alliance of Civilizations Forum, held in Riyadh.
This meeting provided an opportunity to review ways and prospects for strengthening bilateral cooperation in the consular field, in a manner that serves the interests of both communities, the Algerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement.
Moreover, the meeting served as a platform for exchanging views on matters related to the development and modernization of consular services, as well as various initiatives proposed for the benefit of the expatriate communities of both countries, the statement said.
