Algeria and Belarus Discuss Strengthening Bilateral Cooperation

Algerian Minister of State, Foreign Minister Ahmed Attaf received on Wednesday his Belarusian counterpart, Maksim Ryzhenkov, who is on an official visit to Algeria. The meeting took place at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Algiers.
According to a statement from the Algerian Foreign Ministry, the two ministers held a private meeting followed by expanded talks attended by delegations from both countries. The discussions provided an opportunity for a comprehensive assessment of bilateral cooperation, coinciding with the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Algeria and Belarus.
Both sides stressed the importance of building on the significant outcomes of the first session of the Joint Commission held last April, with the aim of elevating Algerian-Belarusian relations to new heights. The ministers also exchanged views on various regional and international issues and underlined the need to maintain mutual support and coordination in international forums.
