On the eve of Algeria’s official accession to the Treaty of Amity and Cooperation in Southeast Asia, Algerian Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, and African Affairs, Ahmed Attaf, held bilateral talks today in Kuala Lumpur with ASEAN Secretary-General Kao Kim Hourn.
The meeting focused on prospects for enhancing the partnership between Algeria and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations following Algeria’s upcoming accession to the treaty. Discussions highlighted the shared values between Algeria and ASEAN and the strong bilateral relations Algeria maintains with several ASEAN member states.
