Algeria: ALNAFT Signs MoU with Qatari Gulf Petroleum

The National Agency for the Valorization of Hydrocarbon Resources (ALNAFT) signed a memorandum of understanding on Tuesday in Algiers with the Qatari company Gulf Petroleum Limited. This agreement is designed to facilitate and strengthen cooperation between the two parties in the hydrocarbon sector, according to a statement from the Agency.
The signing ceremony took place at ALNAFT’s headquarters and was presided over by ALNAFT President Mourad Beldjehem and Gulf Petroleum Limited President Abdel Aziz Hamad Al-Dalimi. The event was also attended by members of ALNAFT’s management committee and a high-level Qatari delegation, the source noted.
This agreement aims to “facilitate” and “enhance” collaborative efforts in the hydrocarbon sector, particularly by presenting investment opportunities in hydrocarbon exploration and production activities in Algeria, as indicated in the communiqué from ALNAFT to Gulf Petroleum.
