Air Transport : Algeria, Qatar Sign Cooperation Agreement

ALGIERS – The Algerian Minister of Transport, Saïd Sayoud, and the Qatari Minister of Transport, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Thani, signed on Tuesday, in Qatar, a cooperation agreement in the field of air transport services between the two countries, the ministry said in a press release.
“As part of the working visit to the brotherly State of Qatar, and in order to strengthen cooperation between Algeria and Qatar, the Minister of Transport, Saïd Sayoud, and the Qatari Minister of Transport, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Thani, signed on Tuesday 8 April 2025, a cooperation agreement in the field of air transport services between the two countries, in the presence of an important delegation from the Algerian Ministry of Transport,” highlighted the press release.
Under this agreement, airlines designated by both countries are authorized to operate an unlimited and unrestricted number of passenger and cargo flights, thus strengthening economic and tourism ties between the two brotherly countries, added the press release.
Parallel to the signing ceremony, Sayoud reviewed with his Qatari counterpart “the relations between the two brotherly countries in the field of civil aviation as well as the various transport activities.”
“The two parties also examined ways to develop and strengthen these relations towards broader horizons,” concluded the same source.
