Air Algérie to Receive 16 New Aircraft to Enhance Fleet

Algerian Transport Minister Said Sayoud announced that the national carrier Air Algérie will begin receiving its 16 new aircraft starting in June, marking the start of a major fleet expansion.

Speaking at Ferhat-Abbas Airport during a work and inspection visit to Jijel province, Sayoud clarified that Air Algérie had purchased 16 new aircraft, not 15 as previously reported, and had also leased 8 additional planes to increase fleet capacity and meet growing market demands.

The newly acquired aircraft, which include both Airbus and Boeing models, will be delivered in phases, with the first delivery scheduled for June, starting with an Airbus A-300.

Additional aircraft will follow in September and October, with subsequent deliveries expected approximately monthly until the full order is completed.
