Air Algérie Launches and Resumes Three Routes to Kuala Lumpur, Budapest, And Addis Ababa

The Air Algérie Group announced on Wednesday the launch and resumption of several international routes as part of efforts to strengthen its network and expand its regional and global presence.
In this context, a new direct route between Algiers and Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) was inaugurated on March 29, 2026. This service aims to enhance air connectivity between Algeria and Southeast Asia while supporting access to new economic and tourism markets, the statement said.
The group also announced the resumption, starting April 1, 2026, of flights on the Algiers–Budapest (Hungary) route, as part of efforts to strengthen its European network and restore strategically important destinations.
At the same time, a new air route to Addis Ababa (Ethiopia) was launched on the same day, in line with the group’s strategy to expand its presence in Africa and support cooperation and exchanges between African countries.
Air Algérie noted that these initiatives are part of the roadmap set by President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, aimed at strengthening Algeria’s openness to its regional and international environment and supporting the development of air transport as a strategic driver of economic growth.
