Air Algerie aims to transport nearly 10 million passengers during 2026, through the expansion of its flight network, with a focus on international markets with promising potential, the company said in a statement on Wednesday.
The company announced its 2026 goals during an annual summit held at its headquarters, “Saïd Aït Messaoudene,” aiming to “surpass 9.8 million passengers, representing one million additional passengers compared to 2025.
To achieve this goal, “the flight network will be expanded, with a focus on international markets with promising potential, in parallel with launching a comprehensive review to improve the customer experience and elevate the quality of provided services,” added the statement.
According to data announced during this summit organized under the theme “Let’s reinvent the customer experience,” in the presence of its executives and employees, the company recorded “a notable positive performance” in 2025, having transported 8.8 million passengers, up by 11% compared to 2024.
The company considers 2025 to have been a “pivotal” year in its development, marked by an accelerated modernization drive built around two key strategic moves, namely the establishment of a domestic airline subsidiary and the beginning of new aircraft deliveries to expand its fleet.
As Air Algérie moves toward restructuring itself as a holding company, the national carrier launched its new subsidiary, GO Ground Operations, last Monday, dedicated to ground handling and airport ground services.” The meeting took place in the presence of Air Algérie President and CEO Hamza Benhamouda and National Civil Aviation Agency Director General Hassan Boulfelfel.
It provided an opportunity to review various activities, assess results, examine challenges, and propose measures to drive ongoing performance improvements.
Presentations at the meeting addressed the airline’s main transformation priorities, particularly the integration of new IT solutions planned for 2026, namely the CRM and RefX systems, and how they are expected to enhance the customer experience, alongside plans to overhaul the loyalty program and expand ancillary services.
