AIPU Urges International Action Following UN Report on Zionist Crimes

BEIRUT – The Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union (AIPU) welcomed the findings of the UN Independent Commission of Inquiry on Occupied Palestinian Territories, emphasizing that the report documented, with evidence, the crimes against humanity systematically committed by the Zionist entity.

In a statement signed by its president, President of the People’s National Assembly (APN), Brahim Boughali, the AIPU said that the report documented serious violations of the rights of Palestinian civilians, as well as the occupation’s dissemination of these practices on social media to humiliate and intimidate Palestinians and forcibly displace them from their territories.

The AIPU affirmed that the content of the report “demands urgent international action to end the policy of impunity that has encouraged the occupation to persist in its crimes.”

The report “clearly highlighted the systematic international passivity in the face of the grave violations endured by the Palestinian people.”

In this regard, the Union called on the international community to “fulfill its legal and moral responsibilities, take immediate measures to support the rights of the Palestinian people to self-determination in accordance with the principles of international law, act without delay to end the Zionist occupation, and bring the leaders of the occupation to justice as war criminals.
