Achievements in Water Supply ‘Will Be Engraved in History’ (Algeria President)

Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune stated on Wednesday in El Tarf that the efforts made to provide water to the Algerian people will be remembered as a significant milestone in history.

After reviewing technical presentations related to the “Koudiet Eddraouche” seawater desalination plant in the Berrihane municipality of El Tarf, which he officially inaugurated, the President remarked, “What has been accomplished to supply water to the Algerians will remain a historical landmark,” adding that “these important projects honor our victorious Algeria.”

He expressed his gratitude to everyone who contributed—both directly and indirectly—to the establishment of this plant, expressing hope that “the remaining two projects will soon be completed to connect the extreme East with the extreme West.”

“I am immensely proud of the synergy and coordination among the workers and officials that made this historic achievement possible,” the President declared.

The inauguration ceremony of this strategic project was attended by General Said Chanegriha, Minister Delegate to the Minister of National Defense and Chief of Staff of the People’s National Army; Mohamed Arkab, Minister of State, Minister of Energy, Mines, and Renewable Energies; Brahim Merad, Minister of Interior, Local Authorities, and Urban Planning; Taha Derbal, Minister of Water Resources; officials from the national companies responsible for the construction; as well as civil and military authorities from the El Tarf region.
