AAPI Welcomes Delegation from the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development

The Algerian Investment Promotion Agency (AAPI) welcomed a delegation from the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development (AFESD) on Monday, led by its Director General, Bader Mohammad Al-Saad. The meeting centered on exploring financing mechanisms and support for investment projects in Algeria, as stated in a release from the Agency.

During the discussions, both parties examined “the financing and support mechanisms for private sector projects in Algeria,” which align with the fund’s new strategy emphasizing enhanced support and funding for this sector, along with providing financial guarantees to facilitate investment project realization,” the statement noted.

On this occasion, AAPI’s Director General, Omar Rekkache, presented a comprehensive overview of the business climate in Algeria, highlighting the advantages and incentives available to investors, as well as the mechanisms for project financing.

He also underscored the agency’s pivotal role in fostering local investment, attracting foreign capital, and supporting investors, particularly those within the private sector.

Both sides agreed to continue their collaborative efforts by scheduling technical meetings to identify the means and mechanisms for implementing various investment projects funded by AFESD.

Based in Kuwait, AFESD is a regional Arab financial institution dedicated to financing economic and social development in member countries through support for investment projects.

Additionally, on the same day, AAPI hosted the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to Algeria, Ali Jassem Ahmed Al Aradi, to discuss preparations for an upcoming visit by a delegation of Bahraini businessmen to Algeria, anticipated for early June. This visit aims to explore the business environment and opportunities for executing investment projects in the country.
