98 Palestinian Journalists Have Been Arrested Since October 7 (Report)

Since October 7, Zionist forces have arrested 98 Palestinian journalists, according to a report from the Palestinian Prisoners’ Club
In a statement released on Monday, the club noted that “since October 7, 98 journalists have been detained, with 52 still in custody. Among these, 15 are in administrative detention, and two journalists remain in arbitrary detention.”
Prisoner advocacy groups and lawyers representing detainees in Zionist prisons indicate that these journalists are facing charges based on “vague and unclear grounds, which are open to interpretation and manipulation.” These practices, they argue, have become “a tool used by the occupying authorities to suppress Palestinians, particularly journalists, and silence their voices.”
The occupied West Bank has witnessed ongoing incursions and assaults by Zionist armed forces for several months, resulting in the martyrdom of hundreds of Palestinians and the arrest of thousands more.
Meanwhile, a devastating, genocidal assault against the civilian population in the Gaza Strip has continued since October 7, 2023, leading to 40,819 martyrs and 94,291 injuries, according to the latest reports, which disproportionately impact children and women.
