
ALGIERS, September 9, 2025 – The activities of the 4th edition of the Intra-African Trade Fair (IATF-2025) are currently underway at the Exhibition Palace in Algiers. The program includes the signing of new partnership agreements and trade and investment accords, official visits, as well as several thematic meetings and economic initiatives.
The sixth day is notably marked by the organization of an IATF 2025 Hackathon, with awards for the winning African startups scheduled to be presented in the afternoon.
Additionally, the agenda features a session dedicated to Africa-U.S. relations under the theme “Turning Policy Shifts into Strategic Opportunities,” along with an African Union-AfCFTA day that focuses on advancements in the continental economic integration process.
Moreover, several other activities are planned, including the launch of the AfCFTA private sector platform and a discussion on the potential of digital trade for fostering a borderless Africa. Ongoing parallel events include the Africa Automotive Show, the African Research and Innovation Hub (ARIH), the AU Youth Startup Program, Creative Africa Nexus (CANEX), as well as a commercial exhibition and B2B meetings.
Under the slogan “Gateway to New Opportunities,” this edition of the IATF, taking place from September 4 to 10, has attracted delegations from 140 countries and over 2,000 African and international companies, including approximately 200 from Algeria.
The event is expected to welcome nearly 35,000 professional visitors and facilitate the conclusion of trade and investment agreements valued at over $44 billion.
