49 African Nations to Join Pan-African Youth Forum from Nov 1-4 in Oran

Nearly 350 young people representing 49 African countries are set to participate in the 4th edition of the Pan-African Youth Forum, which will take place from November 1 to 4 in Oran, Algeria. This announcement was made by Mustapha Hidaoui, president of the Higher Council of Youth (CSJ), during a press conference at the Moufdi-Zakaria Cultural Palace.

During the press conference, Hidaoui emphasized that the Forum, themed “Educate an African fit for the 21st Century: Building resilient education systems for increased access to inclusive, lifelong, quality, and relevant learning in Africa,” coincides with the celebration of the 70th anniversary of the commencement of the glorious Liberation Revolution.

Hidaoui praised Algeria’s well-earned victory in hosting this “flagship event” after facing “strong competition” from several other nations. He highlighted that this gathering “provides an opportunity to strengthen the diplomatic role of youth on the African continent” and “will facilitate the exchange of experiences and best practices related to promoting education, sustainable development, and fostering innovation and creativity among young people.”

“This Forum, supported by a technical committee comprised of 170 volunteers under the age of 35,” will also underscore Algeria’s commitment to supporting education across Africa, as it has increasingly become a destination for African students.

In addition to education, various other topics will be addressed during this continental youth event, including youth participation in political life, employment, health, and culture, according to Hidaoui.

In a speech delivered via video conference, a representative of the African Union congratulated Algeria for “hosting this significant event and ensuring its successful organization.” They noted that the Forum “will enable African youth to share their experiences, particularly in investing in education and other sectors in Africa, for a better future.”

On this occasion, the official website of the Forum was launched: “www.payforum.dz,” along with its digital portal and various social media platforms.
