The second African Export and Logistics Conference will take place on April 21 in Algiers, with the participation of more than 200 national and international companies, according to a statement released Monday by the event’s organizing body. Set to be held at the Sheraton Hotel, the event is organized by the Economic Studies and Investment Development Company (SEEDI), under the patronage of the Minister of Foreign Trade and Export Promotion.
The conference will bring together representatives from over 30 African countries and companies operating across multiple sectors, including agriculture, agribusiness, packaging, heavy and light industries, as well as services such as banking, insurance, transport and logistics.
According to the same source, the event aims to explore ways to strengthen trade across the African continent within the framework of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).
It will also address issues related to controlling logistics costs and identifying opportunities to promote Algerian products in the African markets, with the goal of supporting the diversification of non-hydrocarbon exports.
SEEDI further emphasized that this edition forms part of ongoing efforts to explore both opportunities and challenges related to trade and logistics in Africa.
The program will include several sessions dedicated to new measures and benefits offered by the state to exporters, particularly regarding competition, intellectual property, investment, and e-commerce.
