2025 World Gymnastics Championships: Algeria’s Kaylia Nemour Finishes Just Off the Podium

Algerian gymnast Kaylia Nemour narrowly missed a medal in the individual all-around at the 2025 Artistic Gymnastics World Championships in Jakarta, finishing fourth with a total of 54.564 points: 15.166 on uneven bars, 13.066 on beam, 12.866 on floor, and 13.466 on vault.

The all-around gold went for the second time to Russia’s Angelina Melnikova (55.066), ahead of American Leanne Wong (54.966) and China’s Qingying Zhang (54.633).

Nemour will have a chance to make up for the near miss in the event finals this weekend. She will start with her specialty, the uneven bars, on Friday, followed by the beam final on Saturday.

The 2025 World Championships in Jakarta bring together 483 gymnasts (279 men and 204 women) from 82 countries, competing in the classic format of apparatus and all-around finals.
