2025 Club World Cup: FIFA Announces $1 Billion in Prize Money

ZURICH, March 7, 2025 – The International Football Federation (FIFA) has announced a distribution of one billion dollars among the 32 teams participating in the 2025 Club World Cup as part of the tournament’s financial framework.
“The revised budget incorporates USD 2 billion in revenues from the much-anticipated FIFA Club World Cup 2025,” stated the global governing body for football on its official website.
FIFA further explained that the tournament will “set a new benchmark for global club football, with USD 1 billion distributed to participating clubs and provision for a solidarity mechanism that will be dedicated to club football across the world.”
The tournament is scheduled to take place in the United States from June 14 to July 13, 2025, featuring 32 teams eager to claim the title of world champion.
In a statement, FIFA President Gianni Infantino emphasized that this new flagship event for club football, the “FIFA Club World Cup,” will provide unprecedented support to clubs.
“All revenue generated by the tournament will be distributed to the participating clubs and via club solidarity across the world as FIFA will not keep a single dollar. FIFA’s reserves, which are there for global football development, will remain untouched,” FIFA reiterated.
