183 Palestinian detainees set to be freed from occupation prisons

GAZA – The Zionist occupation is set to release 183 Palestinian detainees on Saturday as part of the fourth batch of detainees to be freed under the Gaza ceasefire agreement, including 111 detainees from the Gaza Strip, according to WAFA news agency.
The Palestinian Commission for Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs and the Palestinian Prisoner’s Society (PPS) published the list of detainees slated for release. The list includes individuals of varying ages and sentence lengths, with eight detainees set to be exiled outside Palestine, the source said.
On Thursday, the Zionist occupation released the third batch of Palestinian detainees, totalling 110 individuals. This group included 32 detainees serving life sentences, 48 facing various prison terms, and 30 minors.
In parallel, the World Health Organization said 50 Palestinians requiring medical treatment abroad will be allowed to leave Gaza through the reopened Rafah crossing with Egypt.
In return, the Palestinian group Hamas handed over two “Israeli” captives, with the third one expected to be transferred later in the latest stage of a truce aimed at ending the 15-month genocidal war on Gaza.
Negotiations are due to start by Tuesday on agreements for the release of more than 60 remaining captives and the withdrawal of Zionist occupation forces from Gaza in a second phase of the deal.
The Zionist occupation’s genocidal war on Gaza has claimed the lives of at least 47,460 Palestinians and wounded 111,580 since October 7, 2023. However, the toll is expected to increase, as thousands of victims remain trapped under the rubble.
