114 NGOs Urge EU to Suspend Association Agreement with Zionist Entity Over Genocide

Brussels – A total of 114 international civil society organizations, including Human Rights Watch and Amnesty International, have called on the European Union to suspend its Association Agreement with the Zionist entity, citing ongoing Zionist genocide against Palestinians and other serious violations of international law.
In a joint statement issued Monday ahead of an EU foreign ministers’ meeting to review the agreement, the organizations stressed that a fair assessment must acknowledge the Zionist entity’s “serious violations” of the human rights clause embedded in the deal. The agreement, which came into force in 2000, governs political dialogue and economic cooperation and explicitly ties the partnership to respect for human rights and international law.
Claudio Francavilla, deputy director of Human Rights Watch’s EU Institutions office, noted that dialogue with the zionist entity has largely failed. He highlighted the growing pro-Palestinian protests across Europe and said the public cannot ignore the daily images of brutality on social media.
Francavilla warned that reviewing the agreement without concrete action—such as suspending its trade component—would be meaningless. He also pointed out that Zionist human rights groups have documented impunity in the West Bank, with fewer than 3% of crimes resulting in punishment, indicating a lack of judicial accountability.
