Kremlin Warns Middle East Crisis ‘Catastrophically Tense,’ Calls for Diplomatic Resolution

The Kremlin warned that the situation in the Middle East has reached a “catastrophically tense” level, emphasizing that only a political and diplomatic solution can prevent further escalation. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated that military approaches risk worsening the crisis and increasing instability across the region.
Peskov also said that Russia is communicating warnings to the United States about potential threats to the Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant, highlighting Moscow’s concern over the safety of critical infrastructure amid ongoing tensions. He stressed that any damage to such facilities could have serious, far-reaching consequences.
Additionally, Peskov mentioned that a visit by Kim Jong-un to Russia is under discussion, with dates to be finalized through diplomatic channels.
