Zionsit Occupation Continues Al-Aqsa Mosque Closure, Marking Dangerous Precedent

The Zionist occupation forces continued to close the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound for the eleventh consecutive day, preventing Palestinian Muslim worshippers from performing prayers there, under the pretext of security conditions related to the ongoing Iran war.
The continued closure of the mosque during the last ten days of Ramadan is considered a dangerous precedent, as it marks the first time since the occupation of Jerusalem in 1967 that Taraweeh prayers and Itikaf (seclusion for worship) have been prohibited inside the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
The Jerusalem Governorate, meanwhile, warned of a dangerous escalation in incitement led by extremist Temple Mount organizations against the Al-Aqsa Mosque, amid the ongoing closure measures, according to the WAFA news agency.
The Governorate warned that what is happening cannot be considered temporary security measures, as the occupation authorities claim, but rather falls within a political and ideological agenda aimed at altering the existing religious, historical, and legal status quo at the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound.
It added that the “Temple” organizations, which seek to establish the so-called “Third Temple” on the ruins of Al-Aqsa, exploited this situation to intensify their propaganda campaigns to impose the so-called “Passover Sacrifice” inside Al-Aqsa Mosque during the Hebrew Passover (April 1–8, 2026), using AI-generated images and clips to mobilize their audience and impose the ritual by force.
