ALGIERS, March 5, 2026 – The Algerian President, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces and Minister of National Defense, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, extended his sincere condolences and expressed his deep compassion to the families of the two officers who died as martyrs following the crash of a small military transport aircraft that occurred Thursday in the 1st Military Region.
“Following the painful ordeal caused by the crash of a small military transport aircraft in the 1st Military Region, the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces and Minister of National Defense, extends his sincere condolences and expresses his deep compassion to the families of the two martyred officers, praying to Almighty Allah, in these blessed days, to surround the deceased with His holy mercy and to grant patience and comfort to their relatives, while wishing a speedy recovery to the survivors.
