The Speaker of the Algerian Council of the Nation (Upper House of Parliament), Azouz Nasri, affirmed Tuesday that Algeria, under the leadership of the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, is advancing resolutely toward diversifying its sources of revenue, strengthening production, and safeguarding the purchasing power of its citizens.
“On the occasion of the historic dual anniversary of the 24th of February, we reaffirm that Algeria, under the leadership of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, is advancing resolutely toward consolidating its economic independence, diversifying its sources of revenue, strengthening national production, and safeguarding the purchasing power of its citizens,” Nasri wrote on his official social media account, marking the dual anniversary of the founding of the General Union of Algerian Workers (UGTA) and the nationalization of hydrocarbons, both commemorated on the 24th of February each year.
He added: “This is a march that honours the sacrifices of yesterday and looks ahead to the building of a strong and prosperous Algeria.”
